As part of this unique chronological overview of the emergence and development of coronaviruses worldwide, authors Filip Mikanovic and Marko Kolar have graphically outlined and expertly explained what all the economic consequences can be expected due to the current pandemic, and what are the monetary and fiscal instruments to counteract the negative economic consequences. Particular emphasis was placed on the economic measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Serbia in the fight against the increasingly viral virus in our country.

Finally, the authors of this scientific study presented some projections of GDP growth relative to the measures taken and outlined basic indicators that can help monitor the situation of the now almost certain global recession.
